But what should I write about? Probably if I can take you through the writer's block I may find the cause of this problem. So please bear with me while I write it out for you. Writer's block is a "condition" when a writer loses the ability to write something new. The desire seems to have dried out and mind has suddenly become less receptive to inspirations floating around. Inspiration is all around us; in form of trees, birds, people, sky, sea or even divinity. But the challenging part is to wait till something brews inside the mind until it is ready to pop out. The "wait" is the hardest and longest part of the writer's journey.
It all leads to a lot of frustration. Here I am sitting with my fingers on the keyboard and staring on the screen. Although my heart wants to produce something but my mind is rambling around with a lot of thoughts that don't seem to converge into something worthy. However now I realize its not about writing something worthy but writing about what interests me. It could be a past experience, epiphany, a crazy thought, beautiful sight or anything that gets the ball rolling.
The topic currently rolling inside my mind is of course the writer's block! It's just amazing to find out that sometimes the mind zooms into nothing. All sorts of thoughts come but nothing seems to stick for more than a few seconds. I need something to calm down my mind so it can just let go of all the "issues". This is my way of getting ready to explore the wilderness of my mind. Because in this wilderness there is originality, peace and humility. Such a mind is ready to receive the weakest of signals of divine inspirations.
Now more than four paragraphs down the line I feel I have somehow managed to overcome my writer's block. But it is still out there waiting for another slip from my side into the darkness. But something tells me this would pass away as well like many more that have passed before.
Writers' block means opportunity to read.
